well it's time for me to get into my studio and start making some polymer clay beads. i am also going to work on book marks for my nephew (9yrs old) using what I learned on the cyndi lietz (the polymer clay tutor) she showed us how to make birdhouse charms and hook them onto copper wire that has been curve up and they fit wonderful in the books. anyway, I am going to make a bookmark using charms like cupcakes, hamburgers, etc. i think he will get a kick out of them. of course, I mentioned it to him a couple of weeks ago - so I really need to get started. And the weather is so beautiful here (Volcano, HI) today it will be hard to stay in studio. I can bring the copper outside and work on bending it for the bookmarks. Regardless, I must get off computer and start something. hope you all have a great day....

still learning how to do this... considering i am not really trying to figure it out. After, the Labor Day weekend I am committing to a goal of creating in my studio and blogging every morning (after coffee and walking the dogs). Just like a boost to get myself in the groove, I think I am in a creative funk.

I really need to start thinking about Xmas craft fairs and making some more pieces to add to my etsy supply. Going to go watch movie with my honey (that is my loving husband) and tonight we are going to pig out on icecream.....yum yum!!!!! see you in the AM

Well, I survived the volcano craft fair and it was very successful. I did well my jewelry sold and the "goddess collection" did real well. I even sold some pieces that i need to finish. One customer bought a bracelet (new design) and we got to talking and I pulled out the resin mermaid I had been working on and she purchased it for her friend. so as soon as i finish the beaded trim I will send to her in Alaska.

Now that i have time I have been focusing on cleaning out my studio, especially getting to a clear table top. I am excited about the next projects - not sure what direction to take my art in but i am sure there will be clay and beads.

Yippee - I finally have started putting my jewelry on etsy.com for sale. i have 2 items on there now and of course like anything else the 2nd one was easier - there are alot of steps involved to posting an item. well, i have only been talking about doing it for months so "it feels good" to be on a roll.

I feel like i really need to get myself out there, so that's my goal. I have many projects going on at once (of course) one I am very excited about is a mosaic, polymer clay tile project. I am going to use his logo and design the tiles around picture. I already have a 12x15 board that I have framed out and hinged - so just gotta start baking some tiles. When I complete it I will post a pic of it. He will be hanging it in his restaraunt, that is if it turns out.

Well, finally home from vacation and have taken the rest from the vacation. I have been working on my etsy account and getting the pictures on there. lots of work and i need to find time to blog and play with clay.

anyway am going to read some other blogs and get back in the blog world.

Well, here i am again. i have been slacking on posting any comments. tell you the truth i quit smoking 6 weeks ago and that has been my main focus. trying to change alot of my old habits and just started going to the gym to work out 3 days a week. next, i gotta try and eat healthy and less. before i quit i was at least 20 lbs. more than i wanted to be - so i gotta portion out better instead of eating everything in kitchen all at once.

anyway, back to clay - i sold some pieces (jewelry) at Ira Ono's Volcano Garden Arts gallery. So, i am creating so new pieces for there. i am also trying to get together to sell on etsy. i go on there daily and love it so just got to get in gear and muse on.

Well, I am working daily in my studio trying to complete my dolls. I will have 14 for the craft fair that's happening in 3 1/2 weeks. i really love making my dolls each one takes on a character of her own (so far i have only made girl dolls). i need to start on my jewelry so i have some pieces to sell.

I am so excited - I will be pictured in our newspaper along with pic my husband took of me and my girls. well so far i have refrained from naming them, maybe if i did it would be harder to let go of them.

i am posting one of the pics i have. this blogging is all new to me but i have been talking about it for months so figure i better get on the ball. As soon as the craft fair (2 days) is done i will be going to mainland to see my kids for xmas i want to try my hand at selling on etsy.com. i have been browsing the site and feel i could put my pieces on. i have been checking out other artist prices etc.

i am not really sure how to blog with others - so i gotta figure it out.

I will be posting pics of my polymer jewelry etc. as soon as i spend more time on the computer. i need to figure out how this works.
